Applications
PhlatLight® technology is the leading solid state light source for display and illumination applications that require high brightness. PhlatLight LEDs are currently being used in projection light engines, LCD TV backlighting, and numerous other lighting applications that require particularly high brightness and efficiency, wide color gamut, high color rendering, and long lifetimes.
 | Projection TV
Projection HDTVs powered by PhlatLight chipsets entered the market with screen sizes up to 56" in mid-2006, and have since expanded to 61" in 2007 and now 67" in 2008. Luminus remains the only solid state light source with the brightness, lifetime, and reliability required for big-screen, mass-market HDTV products.
