New BenQ Joybee Pocket Projector Ships with PhlatLight® LEDs from Luminus Devices

PhlatLight LEDs Enable Next-Generation, Green, Lamp-Free Mini Projectors


 

Orlando, Florida, June 17, 2009Luminus Devices Inc., developer and manufacturer of award-winning PhlatLight® LEDs, today announced that BenQ’s new Joybee mini projector, powered by the PT-39 PhlatLight LED chipset, is now available. Luminus PhlatLight LEDs offer high levels of brightness and performance not available today in pocket projectors using traditional lamp technologies, making the Joybee an ideal mobile entertainment companion for instant projection anywhere. Luminus is demonstrating the new BenQ Joybee mini projector, June 17-19 at the InfoComm Conference 2009 in Orlando, Florida.


Luminus and Texas Instruments combined technologies make the Joybee the optimal choice for on-the-go professionals, gamers and other mobile system enthusiasts. The PhlatLight LED PT-39 chipset is designed specifically for projection systems that use micro-displays ranging from 0.4” to 0.55” with individual red, green and blue PhlatLight LEDs.
