As Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for providing
technical expertise for a fast growing line of high brightness LEDs. You
will provide product support to an international customer base as well as to
the Luminus commercial team either directly or in the form of collateral
generation. This multi-faceted position requires working closely with
internal resources such as product managers and development engineers to
contribute to the generation of datasheets and product line collateral and
requires the ability to perform lab work such as product testing and
characterization.
Other responsibilities will include working with third parties and
ecosystem partners to ensure good alignment, and performing competitive
analysis. In addition you will support the organization and logistics of
industry tradeshows, generate technical presentations, and may conduct customer
seminars.
Qualifications for the position include minimum BS degree in
related field, and 3-5 yrs related experience. Preferred candidates will have
previous technical experience with LED or power semiconductors and hands-on
experience with implementation issues including thermal management, electrical
design and optical design. An academic or professional background in optics and
previous experience supporting Display products are highly desirable.
Having effective communication skills, high energy, and a
customer-centric mindset are essential to this technical support role. You must
have proven ability to work independently as well as within a team.
