The
Product Engineer will be responsible for maintaining documentation and
specifications as well as closely following performance metrics and yields for
a family of products. You will manage the IT systems that control the
performance binning process from test to order fulfillment, at Luminus and at
various off-shore contract manufacturers. In addition you will work closely
with Program and/or Product Managers to bring new products into production
through the NPI process and assist other functions (Marketing, Planning)
with data analysis of product performance and in setting or refining
specifications.
Qualified candidates for this position must possess
a MS or higher in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Optics or related field as
well 5-10 years industry experience, preferably working for a manufacturer of
semiconductors and/or optical devices.
Additional requirements will include strong data
analysis, statistics, and database skills (including experience with MS Query
or equivalent), and experience with optoelectronic device test and
measurement.
Additional experience in areas of ISO 9000, New
Product Introduction, yield reporting, and Six Sigma concepts desirable.
Proven project management skills a plus.
