Job Summary

In this role, the incumbent will support the Quality Management organization, which includes Quality Assurance and Systems. The successful candidate will manage the customer base issues as they arise, under the direct supervision of the department Head. Therefore, good business communication and presentation skills are required. Primary customer interface for all Quality matters including RMA process and quality management systems. Drive quality corrective actions to closure. Work with cross functional teams to support customer inquiries, and internal quality/process improvements at the supplier/contract manufacturer facilities. This position is primarily located at Sunnyvale, CA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Establish customer RMA expectation requirement and Metrics/KPI.

  • Interact with customers/sales on quality issues and close all issues in a timely manner.

  • Actively address product field quality performance, analysis of data and drive implementation of improvement programs.

  • Build reliability model to predict, drive, evaluate and improve product reliability performance.

  • Analyze customer survey data to transfer Voice of Customer (VOC) into our business processes.

  • Document knowledge gained from field failure analysis into Design For Reliability.

  • Proactively works with internal Product Development teams to ensure all products have “quality” designed-in before product launch.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Master’s/ Ph.D. degree in Physics/ Material Science/ Engineering or related technical discipline.

  • 3-7 years’ direct experience in LED products development or customer support.

  • Quality-oriented mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills and a sense of urgency. Experienced acting as a “Customer-advocate”.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of LED package, LED quality/process validation, and technical fields.

  • Familiarity and general understanding with requirements of ISO9001.

  • General knowledge of documentation control systems including BOM’s, revision control, ECO’s and product traceability, corrective and preventive action.

  • Independently driven, ability to multi task and effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional meeting, issue minutes, and drive actions to closure.

  • Proven experience and skills using Excel, Word, Outlook, Project Management, Minitab and Power Point software.

  • Some travel is needed.


Title and compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualification.
